Killeen Shooting Leaves Man Critically Injured
UPDATE II: Police identified 29-year-old Travis James Granger of Killeen as the victim of this morning's fatal shooting at 1293 South Fort Hood Street Friday evening.
In a media release, Killeen PD also identified a suspect - 27-year-old Keith Louis Marinnie of Killeen. Marinnie was arrested at the intersection of Pershing Drive and Old FM 440 at approximately 8:20 PM.
UPDATE: Police say the victim passed away as a result of his injuries. Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke pronounced him dead at 11:08 AM and ordered his remains be sent to Dallas for autopsy. The victim's name was being withheld Friday pending notification of next of kin.
Killeen police are investigating after a gunshot victim was found behind a 7-Eleven store in Killeen Friday morning.
Kathleen Serie with our news partner, KWTX, reports that police responded to a report of a shooting in a wooded area behind the store at 1293 South Fort Hood Street shortly after it was called in at 9:25 AM.
The victim was transported to Metroplex Hospital in critical condition. Police had made an arrest at the time of this article's publication.
