The Killeen Police Department is investigating after two men were injured and one was killed in a shooting Saturday night.

KPD's Ofelia Miramontez reports that officers were dispatched to the 900 block of York Avenue shortly after 9:30 PM January 30 after reports of a shooting victim.

When officers arrived, they actually found three men with gunshot injuries. One man was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 10:59 PM. Two of the men were immediately transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple.

Police have not yet released the deceased victim's name pending notification of next of kin, nor have they released the names or conditions of the other shooting victims.

According to Miramontez, detectives were able to determine that the three men were at a home in the 600 block of Murphy Street when the suspect arrived and started a disturbance, during which the shots were fired.

Police have not released the suspect's name.

Saturday night's shooting remained under investigation Sunday, and detectives asked that anyone who may have witnessed the shooting or has any information that might be helpful in the investigation to contact Bell County Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS (8477) or online at bellcountycrimestoppers.com.
