Killeen Shooting Suspects Behind Bars
Killeen police have made two arrests in connection to the fatal shooting of a teenager on the night of February 16.
17-year-old Zamante Jamon Alvis was arrested by the United States Marshals Service and Killeen police on February 20. Records indicate he was booked into the Bell County Jail at 2:33 PM that afternoon and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and unlicensed carry of a weapon. He remained in the Bell County Jail Wednesday morning in lieu of bonds totaling
$1,005,000.
21-year-old Darius Kirt York was arrested by marshals and local police shortly before 4 PM on February 26 in the 4200 block of Bowles Drive.He is currently in the Killeen City Jail awaiting arraignment.
Police believe the two are responsible for the death of 17-year-old Obadiah Moishe Bush.
Bush was fatally injured during a disturbance in the 1300 block of Covey Lane on Saturday, February 16.
Around 11:52 PM that night, police responded to a call and discovered there'd been a fight involving multiple people, during which shots were fired and Bush was struck. Friends rushed Bush to the hospital, where he passed away as a result of his injuries. He was pronounced dead at 1:53 AM Sunday, February 17, and Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke ordered his remains undergo autopsy at the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences in Dallas.
