Killeen, Texas’ Jershika Maple Makes Top 8 On NBC’s The Voice
Last night on NBC’s The Voice, Killeen’s own songstress Jershika Maple made the top 10.
The bottom three contestants - Jershika, Holly Forbes, and Jeremy Rosado - had to perform last night for the instant save, basically eliminating 2 of them.
Jershika received the most votes, catapulting her to the next round.
America spoke up loud!
Jershika, in my opinion, is the most slept-on contestant in the competition.
According to Yahoo, Maple struggled with dyslexia as a child and worked as a full-time security guard before competing on NBC’s The Voice, but I think from here, her career will blossom.
Jershika sang V. Bozeman’s "What is Love" and America responded with love, giving her the nod to advance to the top 8.
You may remember us constantly keeping you abreast of Killeen artist Rose Short, who competed on the NBC singing competition show back in 2019.
Rose had the city of Killeen and Central Texas' full support and even made it to the Final 4 contestants on "The Voice" in 2019.
She has remained a constant supporter of Jershika on social media, including during last night's nail-biting show:
The show returns Monday. We need Central Texas to tune in and vote when she competes to keep our hometown girls in the competition.
