Killeen Woman Found Dead Of Hit-And-Run In Galveston County

21-year-old Catalina Clara Delgado of Killeen was found dead shortly after midnight Saturday of an apparent hit-and-run near Fort Travis Park in Galveston County.

Paramedics driving through the area spotted accident debris around 12:30 a.m. Saturday and stopped to investigate. They found Delgado’s body 20 feet off the roadway in a grassy area. It appears she was struck while riding a skateboard, and the driver did not stop. Officials have located a truck they believe to belong to the hit-and-run driver, but the driver has refused to cooperate with officers. That driver has not been arrested.

According to investigators, Delgado was staying with family in Port Bolivar while her mother was stationed for military duty in Colorado.
