Two teenagers have been arrested in connection to a string of burglaries in Bell County.

Lane Michael Reed, 18, of Belton and Christopher Moore, 17, of Killeen, are charged with burglary of a habitation. Police believe the two burglarized four homes on Shady Loop just south of Killeen between Thursday and Sunday. The two were arrested Monday after being found in possession of stolen property.

Deputies with the Bell County Sherriff’s Department are also investigating several reported shootings in the area around Shady Loop during the time frame in which the burglaries took place. Two cars and a mailbox were damaged as a result of the shootings, but investigators have not linked the burglary suspects to those crimes.

Reed and Moore are being held at the Bell County Jail, each on $25,000 bond.
