I’m Lynn Woolley with your Logic Minute for 4/30/13

If you had told me thirty years ago that a macho man in the National
Basketball Association ever admit to being gay I’d have thought you
were nuts. If you’d told me that he would be cheered by everyone from
League executives to the President of the United States, I would have
laughed at you. But here we are – 2013. And macho is out and men-in-
pink are all the rage. Lots of other things are different from 1983,
too. More people are on welfare and food stamps. More single moms.
More terrorism. Fewer people admitting to believing in God. More
people believing in Global Warming. More people out of work.
Stagnant wages. Newspapers dying. Bookstores dead. No Soviet
Union. No Southwest Conference. No Montogmery Ward. Instead –
Amazon, Kindles, I-Pod and Pads, Duck Dynasty and HD. 1983 was just
thirty years ago – but now the future is here. I hope you like it.
