Moody ISD Cancels Classes Thursday After Fire at Electrical Substation
Much of the community of Moody was without power Thursday after a fire at an electrical substation, which has prompted Moody ISD to cancel classes for the day.
Chelsea Edwards with our news partner, KWTX, reports that Moody firefighters responded to the fire around 1:40 AM, and about 600 residents were without power as of mid-morning.
Moody ISD's administration building and Moody High School were among those buildings without power, so administrators have cancelled classes for the day. Officials will release their decision regarding extracurricular activities around Noon.
