Neighborhood starts fundraiser for children found dead at home

Local neighborhood in Temple starts fundraiser for the funeral of two children found dead in home.

2-year-old Teric Boyd and 1-year-old Janai Boyd were found dead in their home on Sept. 30 next to an unresponsive woman and two other children of 4 and 6.

The two children were immediately taken into Child Protective Services, while the mysterious woman was taken to Scott & White Medical Center.

The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services has launched a joint investigation with Temple police to figure out what exactly happen to the children.

Local resident Christina Duran has organized a block party today to donate to the family in this depressing time. Local businesses have also contributed to the event, and all proceeds made at the event will go to Branford Dawson Funeral Home in Temple, which is holding the funeral services for the children.

When times get ugly like this, it is always nice to have neighbors there to help get you through it.
