Officers Shoot Armed Woman

Three Round Rock officers are on administrative leave following a shooting that left one woman dead.

The officers responded to a report of a woman carrying a weapon near a bar late Sunday night. Sarah Harrington, 31, was found about two blocks from the bar, sitting on a bench near City Hall.

Harrington told officers she had a gun, but would not surrender it.

Officers attempted to subdue Harrington with a stun gun and pepper spray. They fired when Harrington pointed the gun at them.
