UPDATE: Due to the bitterly cold weather, the outdoor screening of 'Elf' at Don Ringer Chevrolet in Temple has been rescheduled.

The folks at Don Ringer called our studio today to let us know the event will now take place on Tuesday, November 19th.

We apologize if you've already made plans to attend this week, but they just want to make sure everyone can enjoy the movie without losing a toe. I think we can all get behind that.

This Thursday, November 14, you're invited to an outdoor screening of 'Elf' and a hot bowl of Chili from Miller's Smokehouse, and all it'll cost you is a couple of canned goods.

Don Ringler Chevrolet and the Grand Avenue Theater are teaming up with Operation Feeding Temple's 30th Annual Food For Families Drive for this fantastic family event to collect non-perishable food items to benefit our friends and neighbors in need.

The first 200 people to arrive at Don Ringer Chevy at 7777 South General Bruce Drive for the screening Thursday evening will be admitted to the movie and served up a heaping bowlfull of chili from Miller's Smokehouse. If you're a little late, no worries. You can get a bowl for $2.

Hot cocoa, soft drinks, and water will be available too.

The event starts at 6 PM, so set a reminder in your phone.

Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and share this modern Christmas classic with your family while doing a good deed to benefit families in need here in Central Texas.
