Pilot Makes Emergency Landing in Temple
A pilot who made an emergency landing in Temple Thursday is fortunate to have escaped serious injury.
Temple Fire and Rescue's Thomas Pechal reports that the pilot of a single engine plane experienced engine problems shortly before making a crash landing in a field in the 14,600 block of State Highway 317 around 11:00 a.m..
Pechal sent the photos above in an email Thursday afternoon.
According to Pechal, two people were in the plane when it landed. They were transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The crash came about two weeks after another pilot made a crash landing on a ranch near Gatesville. That pilot was also able to walk away with minor injuries.
