Police Identify Woman Found Dead Near Belton Dam Saturday

Police have released the identity of a woman whose remains were found near Belton Dam over the weekend.

KWTX reports that the body of 48-year-old Lisa Diserens was pulled from the water by paramedics shortly before 6 PM Saturday after a fisherman called to report finding her. Efforts to perform CPR proved unsuccessful, and she was transported to Temple's Baylor Scott & White Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Diserens' body will undergo an autopsy. Police believe she was alone at the lake, and that her death may have been accidental.
