Police Investigating Double Shooting in West Bell County Near Killeen

UPDATE Courtesy of our News Partners at KWTX: Bell County Sheriff's Department officials say a man and woman in their 70s were the victims of Monday night's shooting.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His wife was airlifted to a nearby hospital. Their names have not yet been released.

Bell County sheriff's deputies are investigating an apparent double shooting that occurred south of Killeen Monday evening.

Details are scarce, but Bell County Sheriff's Department officials were searching the area around Slawson Lane. At last report, one victim had been airlifted to a nearby hospital. There's been no word on their condition, nor of the other victim's.
