Police Investigating Early Morning Shooting in Killeen
One person is dead as the result of an early morning shooting in Killeen.
KWTX reports that the shooting occurred around 3:30 am in the 2800 block of Montague County Drive.
As police arrived, they were notified about a person with a gunshot wound in the area. That person was found and pronounced dead just after 4:30 am.
Killeen PD's Criminal Investigation Division is following up on the case. Police say they do not have a suspect at this time, but anyone with information is encouraged to call Bell County Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-8477 or reach out to them online at bellcountycrimestoppers.com.
Information submitted to Crime Stoppers is anonymous and confidential, and a tip leading to an arrest and conviction could net a cash reward of up to $1,000.
