Police Investigating Possible Drowning at Temple Lake Park
UPDATE 7/30/20 8:54 PM: Searchers have recovered the body of 21-year-old Theodore Key from the lake. He was retrieved at 8:04 PM. Justice of the Peace Cliff Coleman has ordered an autopsy.
UPDATE 7/29/20 10:34 AM: Police and rescue personnel say they've been unable to locate the man believed to have drowned. They are ending their search for the night and will resume Thursday at 8 AM. Temple Lake Park will remain closed to the public until the end of their search.
Temple police are investigating a possible drowning at Temple Lake Park.
In a news release, TPD's Chris Christoff reports that several agencies responded to a call Wednesday afternoon about an adult man struggling, submerging, and not resurfacing.
Temple Fire & Rescue, Belton Police, Bell County Sheriff's Office, Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the Morgan's Point Resort Dive Team were assisting in the instigation.
