I’m Lynn Woolley with your Logic Minute for 3/7/13

The American people have just witnessed a rare occurrence. A member of the United States Senate has stood on principle. The filibuster mounted by Senator Rand Paul has ended, and John Brennan will now become director of the CIA. But Rand’s point is made. President Obama has been making spectacularly poor choices for his second term cabinet. The problem with Brennan, to Senator Paul, is not so much that he’s the architect of the drone program – but that the Obama administration refuses to say flat-out that it will not use drones to kill American citizens on American soil. Rand Paul is right – and both US senators from Texas supported him. Ted Cruz said his only disappointment is that ninety-nine other senators weren’t standing on the floor alongside him. But no – the lug-nuts in the Democratic Party trust Obama and Holder with this type of life and death power. Rand Paul stood there – for me.
