Reports Of Active Shooter On Fort Hood Unfounded

Rumors of suspected active shooter on Fort Hood earlier today (Feb. 22nd) spread quickly, but post officials say that the rumor was unfounded.

According to our news partner KWTX News 10, Fort Hood’s public information office said Wednesday that reports of an active shooter on post are untrue. The post’s Directorate of Emergency Services is conducting an investigation into an “incident”, but did not explain what that incident was.

There were reports of soldiers being placed on lockdown, but soldiers had returned to normal duty by noon.
