UPDATE: Round Rock Police reported Sunday that Tonia Henderson has been found and is in good condition.

In a media release, the department said Henderson was discovered inside a parked vehicle  in the 1200 block of Old Settlers Blvd around 3:30 PM Sunday. She was examined by EMS and found to be in good health.

“Thanks to all Round Rock residents for keeping an eye out, helping to spread the word, praying, and offering to do whatever was needed,” said Round Rock Police Commander Jim Stuart. “It was inspiring to see Round Rock neighbors and regional law enforcement agencies come together to return Tonia to her family.”

Police and several agencies, both professional and volunteer, spent over 48-hours searching for Henderson. We're glad she was found safe and that this story has a happy ending.

Thank you to everyone who shared her picture.

Police in Round Rock are getting the word out about a woman with autism who went missing Friday afternoon.

27-year-old Tonia Henderson, who was described as non-verbal, was last seen near Old Settlers Boulevard and Mesa Park Drive around 1 PM Friday. Helicopter and K-9 units were assisting in the search for her last night, but she was not found.

We spoke with a Round Rock PD public information officer Saturday morning who told us that TEXSAR, a volunteer search and rescue organization based in Texas, will be assisting police in their search today.

Henderson is a Hispanic woman with shoulder-length, dark hair weighing around 230 pounds. Police says she was last seen wearing either a dark floral print sweatshirt and sweatpants with boots or a long, red dress.

If you're in the Round Rock area today and spot her or have any information that may help police get her home safe, please call 911 or get in touch with Round Rock Police at (512) 218-5500.
