Now that I am employed out here In Temple, I've tried my best to see what hidden gems they have when it comes to great food.

I’ve tried plenty of Thai restaurants, a Ramen shop that would literally make you lose your mind about how delicious it was, and now we’re on to fried fish. If you're anything like me when it comes to fried fish, you are extremely particular about how it is prepared and seasoned.

THIS FOOD IS DELICIOUS!

If you don’t think that you can ruin a perfectly good piece of fried fish, you are sadly mistaken. I’ll taste fish from all over the world and sometimes you can get it really bland or too salty, but Sam's Southern Eatery at 221 SW H K Dodgen Loop is by far some of the best fried fish that I have had not only in Temple, but anywhere in Central Texas.

It definitely needs to be talked about more.

I personally like to order the fried fish with shrimp and a side of red beans and rice. The green beans completely the meal, but hey, that's just me.

The staff is so nice when you come in. Everyone is smiling and they make you feel like you’re at home. The fish at Sam’s Southern Eatery again is absolutely divine, but what really plays the superstar in this movie would be their homemade tartar sauce. I know what you’re thinking - it's just tartar sauce - but I can assure you it is so much more.

This delicious establishment is one of Temple's hidden gems you must try. It's literally just off the loop and it’s so worth it if you love seafood and great customer service.

Sam’s Southern eatery is where you need to be!
