Senator Ted Cruz Tours Fort Hood

Senator Ted Cruz paid a visit to Fort Hood Tuesday for the first time since being elected to the United States Senate.

Cruz met with commanders and soldiers, even having lunch with troops returning from Afghanistan. He spoke about cuts Fort Hood has had to make in response to sequestration and the Nidal Hasan trial, calling the shooting an act of terror that should be recognized as such.
