KWTX's Alex Cano reportsthat authorities in Central Texas are investigating a shooting that took place on Wednesday night.

The shooting happened in Belton in the vicinity of the Harris Community Center.

Authoriites reported to the scene of the shooting slightly after 7:00 p.m., the community center is located at 401 North Alexander St in Belton.

Authorities at the scene initially didn't see any signs of the shooting that supposedly took place; but they would find a man wounded with a gunshot wound in the back on a street that was nearby.

Officials at the scene said the man was alert and communicating when he was taken to the hospital. Authorities said the victim wasn't cooperating with the authorities, and no body has been arrested at this time. Authorities came to the conclusion that the shooting was isolated, and wasn't involved with any other events that took place that evening.
