Student Hit By Car Near Ellison High School

A 15-year-old Ellison High School student was reportedly "upright and alert" Friday afternoon after being hit by a car on Trimmier near campus.

The Killeen Daily Herald reports that the student was hit in front of a nearby donut shop during lunch period. Killeen ISD spokesperson Terry Abbott told the Herald the student sustained minor scrapes and abrasions. Although a helicopter was initially requested to airlift the student, they were instead transported to Seton Medical Center as a precaution via ambulance.

Abbott told the Herald that the driver was not cited
