Summer Shows No Mercy in Central Texas

Hello,

Oliver Stone here for KTEM Newsradio 1400, and I have bone to pick with this Central Texas Summer of 2018.

This summer has given us many triple digit days, and I'm not talking just your standard triple digit days. I'm talking about triple digit days where it's like 110 degrees and there isn't the slightest bit of cloud cover.

Now if that wasn't bad enough, Central Texas Summer of 2018 crossed the line when it ruined some of my personal belongings. My favorite pair of Blue Nike slides were ruined by the Sun shining down this unbearable heat into the back of my car window.

Now I may be at fault for leaving them in the back of the car for multiple days, but I still didn't deserve to go through the pain of my favorite slide getting dismembered by this Central Texas heat. The adhesive and everything was just ruined by the sun.

Just look at this mess.

Hopefully this will help the next person not have to deal with a tragic loss like this. Stay cool, and enjoy the rest of your summer!
