Suspect in Custody After Fatal Stabbing in Temple
Temple police are investigating after a man was found fatally stabbed in the front yard of a home early Sunday morning.
According to Temple PD spokeswoman Ellen Morton, police were dispatched to the intersection of South 51st Street and West Avenue K at 5:54 AM after receiving a report about a stabbing. When they arrived, officers found the victim and began performing CPR. Their efforts to revive the man proved unsuccessful.
Police had not yet released the name of the suspect Sunday afternoon.
Morton reported that a woman who she identified as 45-year-old Nancy Mosley of Temple was taken into custody, and that charges against Mosley were pending approval by the Bell County District Attorney's Office.
We checked the Bell County Jail inmate roster, but did not see Mosley listed. When that information becomes available, we will update this post.
Temple PD's investigation of the stabbing was in the preliminary stages Sunday afternoon, and more information is expected to be released soon.
