A man wanted for the 2011 murder of a Georgia tattoo artist was arrested in Killeen last week.

27-year-old Terrance Lamont Davis was taken into custody Thursday by officers with the U.S. Marshals Service Lone Star Fugitive Task Force with backup from the Bell County Organized Crime Unit and police from Killeen and Harker Heights.

Davis was arrested in the early morning hours after he was observed leaving a residence in the 6400 block of Titanium Drive. As he was driving away, a felony traffic stop was conducted and Davis was taken into custody without incident.

Davis was taken to the Bell County Jail to await extradition back to De Kalb County, Georgia.

Investigators say Davis and another man killed 27-year-old Andrew Wayne Fortune during an August 2011 robbery in Lithonia, GA. The two reportedly entered Fortune’s townhouse where he also ran a tattoo parlor, Black Heart Inc. The two demanded money and there was a struggle during which Fortune was shot.

Police have not announced any other arrests in the case.
