Suspect Wounded in Aggravated Assault Case

KWTX's Matthew Ablon reports that an early Sunday morning aggravated assault case left the suspect of the crime wounded and sent to a local hospital.

It happened at Mr. Magoo's at 4601 Hoode Drive in Waco, where police responded to a shots fired call.

Officers learned the suspect was angry when last call was announced, got into a heated argument with the bouncer, and pulled a handgun on him.

The bouncer ran for safety, and the suspect fired multiple rounds in the bouncer's direction. Another employee at the bar saw what was happening, retrieved their weapon, and shot the suspect multiple times.

The suspect was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest for the injuries he sustained. He remained hospitalized as police continued to investigate the incident.
