Sen. Chuck Grassley wants to see a criminal investigation against a woman who accused now-SCOTUS Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, then recanted.

Ford accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault earlier this month.

The president spoke a day after a second allegation emerged against Brett Kavanaugh, a development that further imperiled his nomination to the Supreme Court.

A favorite of the Republican legal establishment in Washington, Brett Kavanaugh, 53, is a former law clerk for retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy.
