The federal government is launching a massive take over of every mobile phone in the state of Texas on Wednesday October 4th, 2023.

You may already get some alerts to potential weather issues, but now the National Weather Service is officially expanding the alerts they issue on mobile phones to include “destructive” severe thunderstorm warning.
