Temple Fire and Rescue responded to a fire Tuesday night at a location that’s been the scene of three other fires since early August.

Temple Fire & Rescue is inviting Central Texas families to attend Fire Safety Day on Saturday, October 4. There will be free hotdogs and fun activities for the whole family.

Temple Fire & Rescue responded to two different fires at the same location over the weekend. It was the second time this month firefighters have been called to the property.

Temple Fire & Rescue will officially swear in a new chief today. Fire Chief Mitch Randles started work Monday, but will take to oath of office at 1:30 p.m. at Gober Party House, 1516 West Avenue H. The event is open to the public, and refreshments will be served. Those wishing to attend are asked to arrive no later than 1:15 p.m.

Temple Fire & Rescue responded to a two-alarm fire that destroyed a home at 1313 North 2nd Street early Saturday morning.

Temple firefighters say a Monday evening fire at an apartment complex was caused by an unattended stove.
