Temple Fire and Rescue Releases Details About Monday Morning Crash
Temple Fire and Rescue's Thomas Pechal released more information and photos Monday evening about a crash that halted I-35 traffic Tuesday morning.
In a news release, Pechal said fire crews, police, and an ambulance crew were dispatched to southbound mile marker 302 at 5:19 AM after a tractor-trailor hauling cabinets crashed, spilling gasoline and oil and and subsequently catching fire.
The ambulance crew transported the truck driver to Scott & White. His condition was not made public.
By 9:00 AM firefighters and a hazardous materials cleanup crew had cleared the scene. The crash remained under investigation Monday night.
