Temple Man Charged with Online Impersonation
If you want to pretend to be someone else online, stick to VRChat. Otherwise, you could wind up charged with a third degree felony.
Megan Vanselow with our partners at News 10 reports that 30-year-old Aaron Culp of Temple was arrested Sunday after police say he created a website in a local woman's name and offered sex for money.
An investigation into the site began back in March, when the woman Culp is accused of impersonating reported the creepy website. An arrest warrant for Culp was issued on November 27.
Bell County Jail records indicated Culp remained in custody Tuesday night in lieu of $100,000 bond. He's charged with third degree felony online impersonation.
That's right, guys. Pretending to be a woman online isn't just creepy and gross. It could net ya some serious charges. If you pretend to be anyone, stick to Shrek. Nobody can be mad at Shrek.
