Temple Man Pleads Guilty to Sexually Assaulting Disabled Teen
A Temple man has reportedly confessed to a series of horrific crimes against an intellectually disabled teen.
Alex Cano with our news partner, KWTX-TV, reports that 36-year-old Ora Franklin Johnson pleaded guilty to first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault of a disabled person a year to the day after he was arrested for the crime.
An investigation of Johnson began after the victim, described as "borderline intellectually functioning", made her brother aware of the abuse. Police say Johnson sexually assaulted the girl multiple times between April of 2015 and November of 2016.
The victim was between the ages of 16 and 17 when the abuse took place.
Sentencing for Johnson is scheduled for October 16. He faces a maximum sentence of life in prison.
