Temple Police Are Investigating a String of Recent Car Burglaries
Police in Temple are searching for two suspects in a string of car burglaries in the Western Hills area.
According to Temple Police Department spokesman Chris Christoff, the break-ins happened near Iroquois Trail and Cheyenne Drive between May 22 and June 25, 2019.
Police have released a surveillance still of one of the suspects. (Is it just me, or does he look a little like Stuart from MadTv? "Look what I can do!")
If you recognize this guy or have any information that could be helpful to detectives, get in touch with the Temple Police Department at (254) 298-5500 or Bell County Crime Stoppers at (254) 526-TIPS (8477).
You can also submit tips at bellcountycrimestoppers.com or with the free P3Tips app. Info leading to an arrest and conviction could net a cash reward of up to $1,000.
Christoff is reminding everyone to always lock and secure your vehicles. Personally, I don't turn my back on my car without locking it first. You never know. Also, remove any valuables you have lying around in there, or at least hide them out of sight. It's even a good idea to stow away chargers or auxiliary cables, as they might make a thief think you have goodies hidden away. You don't need that trouble.
