Temple Police Identify Man Killed in Saturday Morning Crash

Temple police have released the identity of a man fatally injured in a crash Saturday morning.

In a news release, the deceased was identified as 22-year-old Miguel Berumen. Police say Berumen was speeding as he drove along southbound South General Bruce Drive. He struck another vehicle from behind near South 57th Street, lost control of his own vehicle, and was ejected.

No other injuries were reported.

Portions of both S. Gen. Bruce Dr. and S. 57th St. were closed as Temple PD's Traffic Reconstruction Unit investigated the crash.
