Temple Police Investigating Assault at Future Cues

Temple police are investigating an alleged assault at Future Cues pool hall in Temple.

We reached out to Temple PD's public information officer, Shawana Neely, after a listener asked if we'd heard about an incident at the business. Neely said police responded to a report of a fight with weapons at Future Cues at 1:53 AM Saturday, May 19.

When officers arrived, they learned that a white male was unconscious after being hit in the back of the head, possibly with a beer bottle. Three civilians rendered first aid before the man was transported to Scott & White.

Neely said a suspect fled the scene, but was partially identified by a witness. The case remained under investigation Monday.
