Temple Police Investigating Shooting Near Scott & White Park

Police in Temple are investigating a shooting near Scott & White Park Wednesday night.

In a news release, Temple Police Department Media Relations Specialist Cody Weems reported that officers were called to the area of West Avenue M and South 17th Street around 7:55 PM.

When they arrived, officers found a wounded man. The victim was transported to Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

As of 10 PM Wednesday, police did not have suspect information to release and the shooting remained under investigation.
