Temple police are investigating the death of a man found fatally shot on North 6th Street Sunday evening.

Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North 6th at approximately 7 PM in reference to a call about a shooting victim. The 30-year-old victim, identified as Clayton Pratt, was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace GW Ivey, who ordered an autopsy be performed.

Police say the suspect in this case had left the scene before police arrived. As of Sunday night, they had not released the suspect's name or a description.

Temple police are also investigating a shooting that occurred in the 1700 block of South First Street Saturday evening.

Officers responded to a disturbance call around 6:30 PM. An adult male victim was transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

Just as with Sunday's shooting, police say the suspect had left the scene by the time police arrived. Police did not release a name or description for that suspect.

Detectives are asking anyone who may have information about either shooting to contact them at (254) 298-5500.
