Temple Police Searching for Injury to a Child Suspect
UPDATE: Cody Weems with the Temple Police Department reports that the suspect, Danica Harrison, was arrested in Bryan/College Station Thursday evening.
Temple police are searching for a woman accused of crime that makes my heart ache.
Temple PD Media Relations Specialist Cody Weems reports that officers were called to Baylor Scott & White McLane Children’s Medical Center on March 12, 2018 after medical staff noticed the mother of an infant patient displaying concerning behavior. Investigators determined that the mother, identified as Danica Alexandria Harrison of Bryan/College Station, manipulated medical staff into performing unnecessary surgery and procedures on her 9-month-old daughter.
According to Weems, a felony warrant charging Harrison with injury to a child/intentional bodily injury was issued on Tuesday, July 23, 2019.
Take a look at the photo of Harrison above. If you recognize her and might be able to tell detectives where she is, please contact the Temple Police Department at 254-298-5500.
Suspects are granted the legal presumption of innocence until their guilt is proven in a court of law, but if these allegations are true, I hope someone can put police in touch with this suspect. My heart goes out to that little girl.
