Temple Shooting Leaves One Dead, One Injured
UPDATE, 4-14-16, 1:12 PM: Temple police have released the identities of the two men fatally shot Wednesday evening.
26-year-old Jonathan Hess of Temple was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace G.W. Ivey at 7:34 PM Wednesday.
36-year-old Vicente Hernandez of Killeen was pronounced dead at 1:46 AM Thursday at Baylor Scott & White Hospital.
Autopsies have been ordered for both victims, and detectives are workint to determine what led to the shooting.
UPDATE, 4-14-16, 9:23 AM: According to a Temple Police spokesperson, the second shooting victim passed away Thursday morning. Neither victim's name has been released.
Police in Temple are investigating after two men were shot Wednesday evening.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 400 block of North 7th Street at 7:38 PM.
When they arrived, they found two men with gunshot wounds. One was pronounced dead, and the other was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital with life threatening injuries.
Police have not released the names of the victims or a possible suspect.
