Temple Teen Arrested for Kicking 12-Year-Old in the Groin

A 17-year-old from Temple was in the Bell County Jail Tuesday after authorities say he was caught on video kicking a 12-year-old in the groin earlier this month.

KXXV reports that a school bus camera recorded Devyn Allen Metty kicking the preteen, then reenacting the kick as the victim was lying on the floor in pain.

Metty reportedly told police he didn't kick the victim intentionally, but to stop him from exiting the bus.

Online records indicate that Metty was booked into the Bell County Jail on October 25 and charged with injury to a child - a state jail felony. He remained in jail Tuesday afternoon in lieu of $7,500 bond.
