CELEBRATING HISPANIC HERITAGE IN TEMPLE, TEXAS

The Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum will host a celebration  Thursday, October 13 at 5:30 PM at 315 West Ave. B.

If you've been to the Railroad Museum before, you know they've done a fantastic job of helping preserve and present Temple's history and culture, and they're always featuring fantastic exhibits celebrating history, culture, and art.

Given the deep Hispanic roots so many Central Texans have, it just makes sense to celebrate the ways this heritage has shaped the Lone Star State.

THE CELEBRATION IS FREE, BY THE WAY

Something else to love about the Railroad and Heritage Museum is that this event is absolutely free and open to the public. They actually offer a lot of free events and celebrations, so be sure to check out their website to see what's coming up.

They have permanent exhibits your family can enjoy, but they also feature temporary exhibits that you don't want to miss.

For instance, right now they have a fascinating exhibit on the impact of Hispanic players on baseball, and the close ties Hispanic culture has with the sport.

You'll also find a really cool exhibit on the Temple High School band.

To see more events coming this fall in Temple, check out the Temple Parks & Rec website.
