Times may be tough right now, but there's no shortage of opportunities here in Temple, Texas. One of the reasons the Temple community thrives is the convenience and affordability of Temple College, and now they're offering some free courses that may interest you if you're looking to get into the healthcare field.

Temple College Is Offering Free Certified Nursing Assistant Courses

Have you ever thought to yourself that you want a new profession or you want to maybe change your life, but you just didn’t have the budget for it? Temple College could be a place worth looking into.

Right now, they're offering free certified nursing assistant classes due to the fact that there is a shortage in this particular work field.

If you're not exactly sure what getting this certification would lead to, just know that it requires a desire to really help and care for people who are sick and vulnerable. This is a career that involves not only assisting nurses in patient care, but also bathing, grooming, and even feeding some patients.

It takes a truly caring and compassionate person. If that's you, here's what you need to know.

Temple College Program To Cover 100% of the Cost

Obviously you'll need skilled training, and that's where Temple College comes in.

Now through February 21, you can register for a Certified Nurse Aid course that begins in March. TC's Adult Education and Literacy Program will be providing scholarships to cover 100% of the cost of training and certification.

They'll Even Help You Find Job Openings

At the end of the course, graduates will be invited to a job fair with employers looking for the specific skills taught in this free course.

It Takes A Special Person to Do This

Like I said before, this line of work is for someone who's compassionate, caring, and patient.

A lot of times, residents are not able to go to the restroom by themselves, or even bathe themselves, and sometimes family members have to put them in these living assisted homes due to the fact that they’re not able to care for their love one.

In this profession, it’s all about taking care of people and genuinely loving your career.

Special Thanks

Thanks to Aetna Better Health of Texas for donations that helped make this free CNA course possible. That's according to our news partners at KWTX-TV. Thanks, Aetna!

Just think: you would get to keep at least $1500 worth of tuition in your pocket, and who doesn’t like free? You would receive the books, the supplies, and uniform that would be required for this particular medical field.

Thanks to all the care providers out there, and everyone who's training to be the next batch of helpers.
