The Temple Blue White football Game took place Friday at the illustrious Woodson Field. It was great to see the crowds of people who turned out, as well as the traditional spring scrimmage that took place on the gridiron. While the action on the field was the main attraction, there was plenty more going on that brought the community out.

There was a little of everything that a defensive coordinator would hope for: big hits, interceptions, pass breakups. and forced fumbles.

The various food trucks created an aroma that brought instant salivation to your mouth as you walked by. Barbecue from Lowe's Legs to your left, burgers to your right, and then a funnel cake stand up a little further in front of you - not to mention the DIY snow cone stand. On top of all of that, there was a bounce house and plenty of room for the kids to have their own little football games while the game was taking place.

The action on the field was a very defensive dominated game. There was a little of everything that a defensive coordinator would hope for: big hits, interceptions, pass breakups. and forced fumbles.

Not to take away from the offense. There were plenty of great plays made on that side of the ball as well. The running game for Temple High looks like it could definitely be a strong point for the Temple offense. There were lots of very productive runs, and many broken tackles by the running backs. The quarterbacks were slinging the pigskin around to receivers with great accuracy, and some great athleticism was put on display by the wide outs.

When all was said and done, the White team prevailed with the victory over the Blue team 21-16. From everything we saw in this scrimmage, it looks like our Temple Wildcats should be in for another great year on the gridiron. Go Wildcats!
