A couple in Texas was recently arrested after their 1-week-old son was found in a bucket of tar.

According to a report from the New York Post, Roland Grabowski, 42, and Donna Grabowski, 41, were arrested in Princeton on Saturday afternoon after authorities located their baby in a bucket of tar behind a shed at their residence.

Authorities received a tip that an infant's death may have been unreported and responded to the Grabowski home to investigate. Upon arrival the Grabowski's told officials several different stories about the baby's whereabouts, but they were far from convincing.

Police placed the couple under arrest for child endangerment charges. Soon after the couple told authorities that they believe their son died from SIDS (sudden infant death syndrome.) The Grabowski's stated that they awoke on July 29 and found their baby unresponsive in their bed.

Officials obtained a warrant to search the residence and found that the baby had been wrapped in a blanked and submerged in a 5 gallon bucket filled with tar. An autopsy has been ordered to determine the infant's cause of death.

Currently Roland Grabowski has been charged with child endangerment, abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence with an intent to impair a human corpse. Donna Grabowski is also being charged with child endangerment, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence.
