What Happened?

Folks, this is a true story.

Two Texas men had an argument over what a mosquito looks like, and it ended in one of the men beating the other with a wooden stick.

NBC DFW reports that Victor Symone Shavers, who was found "with a bloody face", attacked his roommate and left him bloody and needing stitches. That's according to an arrest warrant affidavit.

Shaver's roommate reportedly told police he assaulted him after they argued about “what a mosquito looks like".

How The Argument Started

According to the arrest affidavit, the argument turned into a physical fight when Shavers told his roommate he didn't know what the insect looks like, while his roommate disagreed.

Reportedly, Shavers then “grabbed a stick behind his bed” and started hitting his roommate “in the head with the stick at least 6 times.”

You Can't Beat That With A Bat...Or Could You?

The roommate had to defend himself, right?

The unnamed roommate reportedly grabbed a metal bat from his closet and hit Shavers' in order to defend himself.

The arrest affidavit says the roommate suffered a deep cut on his left cheek and a deep cut on the left side of his head. Shavers possibly broke his right hand which was swollen and was cut on the back of his head.

Was All Of This Really Necessary?

NBC DFW reports that Shavers admitted that he struck his roommate first. He was charged with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury, as well as assault causing serious bodily injury. He was being held on  $28,000 bond at the time of NBC's report.
