[CAPTURED] Human Trafficking Suspect Arrested Following Brief Chase in Corpus Christi
UPDATE: According to Media Communications Sgt. Brandley with the Texas Department of Public Safety's Corpus Christi District Office, Isaac-John Bernard Collins was apprehended in Corpus Christi on February 7th.
Brandley said Collins' license plate was spotted by an automated plate ID system on Interstate 37 in the Three Rivers area, alerting authorities that he was headed southeast toward Corpus Christi.
Collins reportedly fled from Mathis police when they attempted to stop his vehicle, after which Brandley said he led police from Robstown and Corpus Christi, as well as state troopers, on a pursuit. Brandley said Collins was taken into custody inside Corpus Christi city limits just off South Padre Island Drive.
Brandley told us the Texas Rangers are still investigating Collins' activities.
The Texas Rangers say a man suspected of human trafficking and crimes against children may be hiding out in the Waco area, and they're asking for our help locating him.
