Texas Tumbleweeds are Selling for Big Money on Etsy and eBay

I've wished for an untapped source of income for years. How did I not know that Texas tumbleweeds could have been so lucrative?

Granted I haven't seen a tumbleweed in my neighborhood since I moved in, but knowing how much Anna Uliassi and Arin Fullerton are getting for these makes me wish I would have thought of that first.

I see a tumbleweed and I instantly think Clint Eastwood Western movie. Meanwhile, Anna and Arin see a way to make some money. According to Texas Monthly, the two learned how to hard-wire bulbs into brambles and started a business called  Arlo + Iris on Facebook Marketplace and Etsy. They are selling some very cool tumbleweeds to those willing to pay anywhere from $100 to $250 apiece.

Talk about making lemonade from lemons. Apparently they are not the only ones capitalizing on tumbleweeds, as a quick search will find you several others who are doing somewhat the same thing.

There is some work that needs to be done before they can be sold, but some of these tumbleweed chandeliers can go for as much as $3,000 - well worth the time and effort needed for such a project.

I don't spend a lot of time on Etsy or other similar sites, but I will say the creativity out there is amazing. The creative nature of people is something I love to look at. I never in a million years thought you could sell a tumbleweed to somebody and actually make a living doing so.

I've been proven wrong again. Now, what can I do with these old, used staples? Ideas, anyone?
