Texas Weather is Looking Potentially Nasty This Weekend

Don’t get me wrong Texas. I’m glad the weather is beginning to change going into the holiday season. Nobody wants hot, humid weather during Thanksgiving or Christmas time. That said, I do want to avoid tornadoes for sure, especially if they're followed by cold fronts.

HOW IS THE WEATHER OUT THERE IN TEXAS?

According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms and cold fronts could be a topic of conversation this week. I want all of Texas to be properly prepared.

NWS meteorologist Bob Fogarty predicts we could see weather become sevever Friday night, especially north of Interstate 10. Severe storms will more than likely be gone until the morning of November 5. According to Two NWS Austin/San Antoni,  heavy rainfall is possible but flash flooding is not anticipated.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR CENTRAL TEXAS THIS WEEKEND?

It looks like we could be in for some potentially damaging gusts of wind and even hail. Unfortunately, there's also the possibility of tornados.

Temple folks who remember the almost city-wide blackout a couple of weeks ago should prepare for a similar scenario if you ask me. Have flashlights handy, along with water and food you can prepare without having to use your appliances.

Hopefully it doesn't come to that, but better safe than sorry, right?
