Texas Woman Charged in Death of Son Left Decapitated

KWTX reported from the Associated Press that a woman from Houston has been hit with a capital murder charge in the death of her 5-year-old son. Prosecutors in the case said that the young boy was drowned and left decapitated.

The name of the 43-year-old mother to the son, is Lihui Liu. Liu is being held without bond, according to Harris County court records.

The online court records did not list an attorney that represents Liu, and she faced a judge Saturday and had another court appearance that took place on Monday.

Houston authorities responded to a stabbing at a home Friday night, and the father of the boy killed came home from work to find his son deceased.

The father found his son wrapped in a plastic bag, in a trash can in the garage of the family. Authorities are still investigating on a possible motive of what may have led to the killing of the boy.
